1. Create an Account

Visit the sign-up page to create your account.

• Your username is your unique identifier - keep it safe
• Choose a strong password (minimum 8 characters)
• We don't store any personal information
• Account recovery is not possible - save your credentials securely

2. Receive Free Credits

Every new account receives 3 free credits to try the service. Each image you process uses 1 credit.

3. Start Processing

Navigate to the processing page to upload and redact your first image.

Step 1: Upload Your Image

Upload your image using one of two methods:

• Drag and Drop: Simply drag your image file into the upload zone
• Click to Browse: Click the upload zone to select a file from your device

Step 2: Select Detection Options

Choose which elements you want to detect and blur:

• Faces: Automatically detects and blurs human faces (currently available)
• License Plates: Detects and blurs vehicle license plates (coming soon)
• Tattoos: Detects and blurs visible tattoos (coming soon)

Step 3: Process

Click the "Process Image" button. Processing typically takes less than 250ms for most images.

Step 4: Download

Once processed, your redacted image will appear on the right. Click "Download" to save it to your device.

How Credits Work

• Each image processed uses 1 credit
• Credits never expire
• You can check your balance in the top right corner of the processing page
• If you run out of credits, images will be processed with a watermark

Pricing Tiers

Visit the pricing page to purchase additional credits.

Privacy & Data Handling

Your privacy is our top priority. Here's how we protect your data:

• No Logging: We don't log image content, filenames, or metadata
• No Tracking: We don't use cookies or tracking pixels on your images

EXIF Metadata Removal

All EXIF metadata (including GPS location, camera model, timestamps, etc.) is automatically stripped from processed images before download.

Anonymous Accounts

We don't require or store any personal information:

• No email address required
• No phone number required
• No real name required
• Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text

Detection Technology

Scanon.ai uses state-of-the-art AI models for detection:

• Face Detection: Deep learning-based facial recognition with high accuracy across various angles, lighting conditions, and partial occlusions
• License Plate Detection: Trained on multiple countries' plate formats (coming soon)
• Tattoo Detection: Advanced pattern recognition for identifying body art (coming soon)

Performance

• Processing Speed: Typically under 250ms per image
• Resolution: Maintains original image resolution (up to 50MB file size)
• Quality: High-quality Gaussian blur applied to detected regions
• Format Support: JPEG, PNG, WebP output formats

Limitations

• Detection accuracy depends on image quality and clarity
• Extreme angles or heavy occlusions may reduce detection rates
• Very small faces or plates (less than 30x30 pixels) may not be detected
• Always review processed images before sharing
